Decisions, Decisions...

I love stationery.  Greeting cards, invitations, note cards, note pads...even a nice sheet of blank paper can make me happy.  When I worked at an event planning company a few years ago, one of my favorite things to do was look through the cards and personalized stationery.  I spent months deciding on the perfect wedding invitation and designing it just the way I wanted.

It should come as no surprise then, that I am excited to pick out our Christmas cards this year.

Though I have browsed their website for years, I first ordered from Shutterfly last Christmas when we sent our first family photo card.  I was pretty pleased with the way they turned out, especially considering I took the pictures myself.

It's CRAZY how different my girls look this year!

Naturally, when it was time to pick birthday invitations for the girls' first birthday, I went back to Shutterfly.  There were so many cute cards that would have made wonderful invitations, but I finally settled on this one:

I am not sure exactly what look I want to achieve with this year's card, but I know I have to get it ordered soon!  There is such a variety of designs, from modern and trendy to classic and elegant, and I love them all.  Here are some of the front-runners for this year...maybe y'all can help me decide!

(maybe I just like this family?)

This is a fun way to include more pictures...

Hmmm..I guess it's obvious I have a long way to go on making a decision!

If you're looking for a meaningful gift for family members, the calendars and photo books are an excellent way to share favorite pictures from the year.  I have not ordered either before, but several friends have created beautiful photo books that will make such fun keepsakes for the future.

If you have not tried Shutterfly before, this may be the time to start...they are doing a promotion for bloggers who do a post about Shutterfly products.  More details can be found here.

Disclaimer:  Although I am participating in a promotion to receive 50 free cards in exchange for posting about Shutterfly, all opinions expressed in this post are my own.  I have actually used Shutterfly for my cards in the past and have always been completely satisfied.

  1. I LOVE Shutterfly!!! I order pictures through them every month, and I do quarterly photo books. You should try those, too...they're really easy, and I've always been amazed at the quality.

I didn't know about this promotion! I'll have to check into that! :)

We're having the girls' Santa pictures taken this afternoon...wish me luck! I've got to get some family pictures scheduled SOON so I can get our photo cards ordered. How did it get to be NOVEMBER already???

Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Last week I spent 3 GLORIOUS hours on moo.com - ordered business cards and whatnot and had a ball.

I also signed up for Shutterfly to give me 50 prints for blogging - why have I not heard from them yet?

Anyway, I am definitely ordering some stuff - I decided that we should put our overseas holidays in a photo book for the coffee table :)
