This blog is, quite literally, my recollections and recounting of my own "crazy, beautiful life." It's a place to complain and a place to celebrate; a place to vent and a place to rejoice. I write a lot about parenting and what it's like in these early years with twins, but I certainly don't limit myself to these topics. I love the community I have found through blogging, and I aim to make this blog an honest and true reflection of who I am. I am very rarely controversial (on the blog, I mean, real life is another story...), and I try to never, ever come across as judgmental or offensive.
I want to re-read these posts one day and be able to remember what it was like to function on 3-4 hours of broken sleep or to nap in the rocking chair with a sick baby. I don't want to forget the time my kid pooped in the tub or how great it felt to finally be finished with bottles. It may not sound like much to some, but right now, these are the things that make my world go round, the things that are shaping me into a new person all the time.
I don't blog to make money, or to get free stuff, or in hopes of becoming famous (ha!). I blog to record and remember these days of my life, and I blog to develop the community and the friendships I have found online. Occasionally, I also blog to help maintain my sanity, or for confirmation that yes, it's perfectly normal to sometimes have an overwhelming need to lock the bathroom door, climb in the tub, and soak for two hours just to get some peace and quiet.
Admit it, you do it too.
