When we bought our first house in Arab, we lived there for 5 years and never met a single neighbor (antisocial, much?). I blame that on lawschool!
I think it's awesome that you've found a great neighborhood for the girls to grow up in! What school will they go to when they start kindergarten?Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00141928342622279829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-136676220962824875.post-89260274608754964082010-08-29T08:32:14.584-05:002010-08-29T08:32:14.584-05:00Great post! I fantasized about those neighborhoods. Especially at Halloween.

Now as a mom, that neighborhood has been important to me and I hope this house we bought and recently moved into provides that opportunity for them too.

But I hope the boy chat stays at bay until they are like 30.minimal momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14656652014630333665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-136676220962824875.post-70248396159476445752010-08-28T06:11:48.783-05:002010-08-28T06:11:48.783-05:00I thoroughly enjoyed your walk down memory lane. Your current neighborhood sounds like a fun place to raise kids. Lucky you. I'm dying to read the skunk story...
I stopped by from MamaKat's Writing Workshop; I wrote on Unconditional Love and could use some feedback. It's a pity that neighbors just don't seem as friendly as they used to be, all of us are wrapped in our own lives. Perhaps it is partly the fault of technology at our fingertips. Ironic, isn't it?Emilyhttp://www.mamasick.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-136676220962824875.post-17005249134838522092010-08-27T10:46:51.513-05:002010-08-27T10:46:51.513-05:00A good neighborhood means so much to kids! We've lived in our current neighborhood for over 2 years now and couldn't be happier. I love the friendships we've developed as adults and love the friendships I'm watching my kids make! : )Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01617382158646064860noreply@blogger.com
